A new chapter, twelve years in the making.
On 20 August 2026 BUILD held its Official Opening Ceremony in Dangriga. Ms. Anna Loague was Mistress of Ceremonies, and the programme opened with the national anthem and the national prayer, led by Ms. Ginéé Neal.
His Worship Mayor Robert Mariano of the Dangriga Town Council gave the welcome remarks. Dr. Consuelo Godfrey, Ms. Natasha Mantock of UNICEF and Ms. Miriam Paz of the Ministry of Education followed, before Dr. Louis Zabaneh spoke for BUILD. Ms. Elena Smith closed the ceremony.
The opening comes twelve years after BUILD’s first trainings in Belmopan in 2014, and at the start of a year that brings a pilot graduate-level course in competency-based education with the Ministry of Education, and tailored courses for Stann Creek schools.
