Women graduate from the cell phone repair course

Through the Taiwan–Belize Women Economic Empowerment Project, participants learned to diagnose and repair phones and left with a certificate and a repair kit of their own.

A trade, a kit and a certificate.

The Taiwan–Belize Women Economic Empowerment Project brought a hands-on cell phone repair course to women looking for a new skill and a new income. Each participant worked at her own station with a full repair kit and a magnifier lamp, learning on real phones.

The course finished with a certificate ceremony, with representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Taiwan’s International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF) joining the graduates.

Cell Phone Repairs remains one of BUILD’s courses.
